Prescription Requirements
Yes. All compounded medications require a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian. Wespaw cannot compound or dispense medication without proper veterinarian authorization.
Your veterinarian can send prescriptions by phone, fax, email, or through our online prescription form. We accept all standard prescription formats.
Refills
Use our online Refill Prescription form, call us at (718) 555-0100, or email us. Have your pet's name, medication name, and Rx number handy if possible.
Yes. We track medication cycles and will send you a reminder when it's time to refill, so your pet never misses a dose.
Delivery
Yes. We offer same-day delivery for most compounded medications across New York City (Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island), as well as Long Island, Westchester, and parts of New Jersey.
Delivery is free on all compounded pet medications. There are no hidden delivery charges.
Yes. You can pick up your medication at our Astoria, Queens pharmacy at 37-15 23rd Ave. Our hours are Monday–Friday 10 AM–7 PM and Saturday 10 AM–3 PM.
Compounding
Compounding is the process of creating a customized medication tailored to a specific patient. For pets, this may mean adjusting the dose, changing the delivery form, or adding flavoring to improve compliance and make treatment easier.
We compound for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, small animals, and other exotic pets. Contact us if you're unsure about your specific pet.
We offer flavored liquids, capsules, tablets, soft chews, and transdermal gels/creams. Our pharmacists will recommend the best form based on your pet's needs and the medication.
Payment
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash (in-store pickup). Contact us for specific payment options for your order.
Wespaw emphasizes affordable, practical medication access. Compounded medications are often more affordable than brand-name alternatives. Contact us for a price estimate on your specific medication.
Turnaround
Most compounded medications are ready same-day or within 24 hours of receiving a complete, verified prescription. Complex formulations may take slightly longer.
